Precautions when using waterproof cable connectors
Cable glands are a type of connecting device often used in power systems. It is mainly used in outdoor products, medium and large remote control machinery, and equipment in which the main control system is not on the body. For example, in chemical plants, power plants, power supply bureaus, base stations of telecommunications networks, and in highly automated plants, cable glands are used.
The precautions when using waterproof cable connectors are as follows:
- 1. In order to ensure waterproof and longer operation, it is recommended to use double-walled heat-shrinkable sleeves and insulating sleeves.
- 2. In order to ensure a certain pressure that can be withstood at the joint, it is recommended to add a sheath tube to enhance insulation and protection.
- 3. The self-adhesive tape (or heat-shrinkable waterproof tape) used is a high-pressure product to ensure insulation safety.
- 4. When constructing, it is better to use the staggered connection method (ie, the cable does not need to be neatly cut and docked).
